The process
How the assessment works
Four clear stages, at a considered pace.
- 01
Screening questionnaire
You begin with a short screening questionnaire. This helps establish whether a full assessment is likely to be useful for you.
- 02
Collection and review of pre-assessment information
Relevant background information is gathered and reviewed before your consultation. Where available and appropriate, this can include information from earlier in life and from people who know you well. Any questionnaires or documents are handled through a secure clinical process, separate from this booking.
- 03
Diagnostic consultation
A detailed diagnostic consultation with Dr Daniela Benson, typically around 90 minutes. This is a careful, collaborative conversation about your experiences, history and goals.
- 04
Treatment options and next steps
Where clinically appropriate, the outcome is discussed at the end of the diagnostic session, along with recommendations and treatment options. Treatment decisions are made together and may, depending on circumstances, include medication, psychoeducation and practical strategies.
Information you may be asked to provide
Gathering the right background helps make the assessment accurate.
- Personal and background history
- School reports, if available
- An observer questionnaire completed by someone who knows you well
- GP details
- Corroborative information about childhood, where available
Your information is handled securely
Any required pre-assessment questionnaires and clinical information are sent to you securely before your appointment, through an approved clinical process. This booking website deliberately does not collect or store clinical information.
